The name comes from bazaar.
A bazaar was never one shop — it was hundreds of independent sellers, sharing a place, each running their own business. Upzaar is the same idea, built for a city today.
We're not building another aggregator.
DoorDash, Talabat, Careem, Uber Eats — one platform, taking a cut in every city it touches, owned by no one but shareholders. We think a city is better served by many small, independently-run marketplaces than by one giant one. Upzaar exists to make it just as easy to run the small version.
